Jakarta, July 9, 2025 — The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Trisakti hosted an international collaboration event that included the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Arizona State University (ASU), United States, and a scientific seminar titled “Nanostructure Engineering in Microgravity for Drug Delivery” on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Universitas Trisakti campus in Jakarta.
The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing international research partnership among three prominent institutions: Arizona State University (ASU, USA), BINUS University, and Universitas Trisakti.
The MoA was formally signed by Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng., Vice Rector I of Universitas Trisakti, and Dr. Derrick Speaks, Assistant Teaching Professor at the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy, Arizona State University. The signing was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, Rector of Trisakti University, and Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, Vice Rector IV.
Following the MoA signing, the event continued with a Joint Visiting Professor Seminar featuring distinguished international speakers: Dr. Derrick Speaks from Arizona State University and Dr. Fitya Syarifa Mozar from the BINUS Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), BINUS University. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Monica Dwi Hartanti, Ph.D., representing the CAPTIVATE Center of Excellence, LPPM Universitas Trisakti.
The seminar topic, “Nanostructure Engineering in Microgravity for Drug Delivery,” explored cutting-edge innovations in nanostructure engineering under microgravity conditions, which hold great potential for advancing future drug delivery systems.
This event exemplifies Universitas Trisakti’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships, enhancing research capacity, and broadening academic and technological horizons for students and researchers in Indonesia.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi, Rector of Universitas Trisakti, expressed appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of cross-border and cross-institutional collaboration as a driving force for global scientific and technological advancement.
