The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, held the Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Certified Dentists for the Odd Semester I, Academic Year 2024/2025 on Friday morning, November 29, 2024, at the Faculty Auditorium. The event was attended by academics, students, and the families of the newly certified dentists.

The ceremony opened with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastuti, M.Kes., Sp.BMM., Ph.D., who extended her congratulations to the 78 new dentists who had successfully completed their education.

In her speech, Drg. Wiwiek emphasized the importance of commitment, integrity, and dedication in the practice of dentistry. She also expressed her hopes that the graduates would contribute significantly to improving the quality of dental healthcare in Indonesia.

“This marks the beginning of a long journey as a dentist. Great challenges await, but with the knowledge you have gained and a strong determination, I am confident you will serve society to the best of your abilities,” Drg. Wiwiek said.

The event continued with an address by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., who also commended the graduates. In his speech, Prof. Kadarsah reminded the newly certified dentists to always uphold professionalism and ethics in every medical procedure they undertake, and to actively contribute to the advancement of science and technology in the field of dentistry.

“We are immensely proud of your achievements, but your journey as true dentists has just begun. Continue to learn, grow, and give your best contributions to society and the nation,” said Prof. Kadarsah.

The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking procession, led by Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastuti. A total of 78 new dentists raised their hands and solemnly recited their oaths, affirming their commitment to serving as professional, honest, and ethical medical practitioners.

The event also included the presentation of awards, with Drg. Joey Danwiek, S.KG. receiving the accolade for Best Graduate, achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.85. Drg. Joey was also honored as the highest national scorer in the UKMP2DG examination for the Odd Semester I period of 2024/2025. Furthermore, he earned the distinction of first place with a perfect score of 100 in the UKMP2DG CBT national examination.
