On Saturday, October 5, 2024, Bureau 5 of the Student Executive Board (BEM) from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Universitas Trisakti organized an event called Visit Dentistry with the theme “Dive into The Life of Dentistry.” This event took place at Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Dentistry Campus B. Visit Dentistry is an open house event designed to introduce prospective students to campus life in the field of dentistry.

This year’s Visit Dentistry activities included a Talkshow, Campus Tour & Course Exploration, and a Skills Lab on dental impression techniques using phantom jaws. The event was attended by 65 high school students from across Jakarta. The event was officially opened by Drg. Mita Juliawati, M.A.R.S., Vice Dean IV of FKG Universitas Trisakti, and Drg. Annisaa Putri Ariyani, M.M, M.K.G, representing the Public Relations Division of FKG Universitas Trisakti.

The Talkshow at Visit Dentistry 2024, themed “Proud to be a Dentist!”, featured two speakers: Drg. Tengku Annisa Utami, M.A.R.S., and Drg. Adrianus Surya Wira Rajasa, Sp.P.M., both alumni of FKG Trisakti. The session was moderated by Drg. Lia Hapsari, M.Epid. The Skills Lab session, led by Drg. Deviyanti Pratiwi, M.Kes., an instructor for the Phantom Jaw Dental Impression Skills Lab, offered practical insights to participants.

The campus tour included a visit to the Educational Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM-P) at FKG Universitas Trisakti, showcasing the facilities and services available on the G, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors. Concurrently, there was a course exploration session on each floor, where participants received brief introductions to the subjects they would encounter at FKG Trisakti. The course topics covered three main areas: radiology, orthodontics, and dental conservation.

Through Visit Dentistry 2024, it is hoped that high school students gain a greater understanding of the Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Trisakti, including the various facilities and services offered. This event aims to inspire students to pursue further studies at Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Dentistry, while also fostering enthusiasm among the younger generation to contribute to the field of dentistry through quality education at Universitas Trisakti.
