HOLOPIS.COM, JAKARTA – The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi, has been awarded the “Outstanding Achievement Award” in the Academic Category at the prestigious Industrial Engineering Awards 2024.

Prof. Kadarsah received the award alongside seven other academics at the awards night held at Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building, SCBD Jakarta, on Friday, September 27, 2024.

This year’s Industrial Engineering Awards were themed “Innovative Engineering for Sustainable Development in Shaping The Future of Indonesia,” focusing on the importance of engineering innovation for sustainable development in shaping the future of Indonesia.

Prof. Kadarsah was selected for this award, organized by the Industrial Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association (BKTI PII), after a highly competitive selection process.

The selection process, which spanned over five months, was directly overseen by the Chairman of the Jury, who is also the Chairman of the Expert Council of the Industrial Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association and the Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association, Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie.

The “Outstanding Achievement Award” is given to individuals within organizations who have demonstrated exceptional initiative and achievement in advancing their company and implementing positive innovations at both national and international levels.

Since being appointed as Rector of Universitas Trisakti in 2023, after previously serving as Acting Rector, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi has brought many changes to the Pahlawan Reformasi campus.

One notable achievement is Universitas Trisakti’s recent attainment of the ‘EXCELLENT’ accreditation from BAN-PT.

Under his leadership, Universitas Trisakti is currently in the process of transforming into a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) after a long and complex process.

Several initiatives have been launched by the 62-year-old Rector, born in Kuningan on February 22, including strengthening internationalization efforts and developing campus infrastructure.

“The first thing we will do is update the strategic plan (Renstra) because the environment has changed, so the Renstra must be renewed. Secondly, we will increase Universitas Trisakti’s participation in the MBKM program. Thirdly, we will strengthen internationalization because it is a way to enhance our global reputation,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, shortly after being appointed Rector of Universitas Trisakti.

“Fourth, we will improve infrastructure by building a hospital in Nagrak, beautifying the Grogol campus, and upgrading digital infrastructure. Lastly, we will strengthen our focus on sustainability,” he added.

Prof. Kadarsah’s achievement at the Industrial Engineering Awards 2024 was further complemented by the success of another faculty member from Universitas Trisakti’s Industrial Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Tiena Gustina Amran, who also received an award in the same category.

In addition, the Industrial Engineering Study Program of Universitas Trisakti brought home an award from this event after receiving accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE).

The award, received by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Rina Fitriana, is a testament to the program’s ongoing efforts to meet international standards in producing competent graduates ready to compete globally.
