Universitas Trisakti officially sent off 70 students participating in the Independent Business Study – Applied Technology Science Program (KUM-ITT) as part of the 2024 Kepresma Kerja Nyata program, which will take place for seven days in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur Subdistrict, Bogor Regency. The send-off ceremony was held at the Trisakti University campus and attended by Vice Rector I, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng., Vice Rector III, Ir. Yoska Oktaviano, MT, Director of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, MT., IPM., ASEAN Eng., and the field supervisors on September 4, 2024.
In his speech, Vice Rector I, Dr. Burhan, emphasized the importance of students’ role in applying science and technology to offer real solutions to the community.
“This KUM-ITT program is an opportunity for you to learn while making a tangible contribution to the community. Use your time wisely and develop your creativity and skills in facing challenges in the field,” he said.
The KUM-ITT program is part of Universitas Trisakti’s efforts to encourage students to independently apply applied technology in the business world and society. This activity also serves as a form of community service through the utilization of useful science and technology. The students participating in this program will be divided into three groups, each accompanied by experienced field supervisors.
They will collaborate with the Sukabumi community to develop technology-based projects that can support the local economy and welfare. The KUM-ITT: Kepresma Kerja Nyata 2024 program is expected to provide valuable experience for the students and have a positive impact on the Sukabumi community, particularly in the application of technology for economic and social empowerment.
