Jakarta, August 27, 2024 – The Student Presidency (Kepresma) in collaboration with the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) organized the Independent Business Course on Applied Technology (KUM-ITT) for Villages, with the theme “Kepresma Kerja Nyata” in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur Sub-district, Bogor Regency, West Java. The fieldwork will take place from September 4-13, 2024. The preparation for the KUM-ITT program for Villages is conducted by the LPPM Team, based on the KUM-ITT Syllabus, consisting of 16 meetings, including midterm and final exams.
The event was inaugurated by the Vice-Rector III for Student Affairs Universitas Trisakti, Ir. Yoska Oktaviano, MT, who emphasized the importance of student contributions to community service by utilizing applied technology. During the event, Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., the Director of the Research and Community Service Institute Universitas Trisakti, provided an explanation of the KUM-ITT program, which aligns with the Village SDGs and highlights the importance of innovation in the development of technology that can be applied within communities, particularly in strategic sectors that match the village’s potential.
This KUM-ITT Village program is the first of its kind organized by the Student Presidency of Universitas Trisakti and involves 70 participants divided into three groups, each guided by a Field Supervising Lecturer: Dr. Nurhayati, SE, MM, Drs. Haris Effendi, M.Ds., and Reza Fauzi, S.T., M.Ars. “Through this program, students not only learn to apply the knowledge gained on campus but also become directly involved in community development,” said Prof. Astri Rinanti in her speech.
The KUM-ITT Village: Kepresma Kerja Nyata 2024 program aims to increase the social awareness of KUM-ITT participants, enable them to apply the knowledge they have learned, train their soft skills, and serve as a momentum for Universitas Trisakti students to actively participate in community empowerment to achieve Village SDGs.
