Jakarta, August 5, 2024 – The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) Universitas Trisakti (USAKTI) successfully held the 12th Young Intellectuals Seminar on Monday, August 5, 2024. The event was opened by the Vice-Rector 1 of Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng., who also gave a welcoming speech to the seminar participants.

In his speech, Dr. Burhan emphasized the importance of innovation in the fields of civil engineering and planning in the digital era. They discussed various challenges faced by young professionals and how technology can be utilized to address these issues. The discussions also included case studies and real-life examples of projects that successfully implemented new technologies. Additionally, there was an interactive Q&A session with the audience, discussing practical solutions and advice for field implementation.

The seminar featured various expert speakers from the fields of civil engineering and planning, discussing current and innovative topics. The interactive discussions and Q&A sessions provided participants with the opportunity to deepen their understanding and engage directly with the experts. The speakers included:

• Ryan Faza Prasetyo, ST, MT (Civil Engineering Lecturer, FTSP)
• Ir. Arif Rahmat, ST., MT., IPM., ASEAN Eng. (SVP Project Management of Railway System & Trackwork Division, PT. MRT)

Moderated by Ir. Muhammad Sapto Nugroho, ST, MT, the seminar’s theme was “Planning and Entrepreneurship in a Sustainable Built Environment.” The seminar aimed to provide new insights and inspiration for young intellectuals in developing their careers and contributions in this field. The event was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans of FTSP USAKTI, the Director of LPPM Usakti and the Head of the Civil Engineering Study Program, and the Director of LMK Usakti.

This event also served as a pre-yudisium session for students, and the papers presented will later be published in an online journal.
