Forging New Collaborations: Joint Working Meeting of IKA FTSP – IKASTRI – ADHIPATI Universitas Trisakti at Villa Mountain View Sukabumi

SUKABUMI, July 8, 2024 – Over the weekend of July 6-7, 2024, the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Universitas Trisakti, along with the Alumni Associations of the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Architecture, held a joint working meeting at Villa Mountain View, Sukabumi.

This inaugural joint working meeting was attended by representatives from the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Dr. Fahmi Hermawan, ST, MT, as well as alumni from the three associations and student organization leaders.

In the report by the organizing committee chair, Raja ML Tobing, ST, it was stated that this is the first time a joint meeting has been held since the establishment of the alumni associations within FTSP USAKTI. It is planned to hold this joint meeting annually in the future. Raja also expressed the high enthusiasm from the alumni, students, and FTSP and program leaders for this event, hoping for good synergy and active contributions for the advancement of USAKTI, the nation, and the country.

In his remarks, the General Chair of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Ir. Leonard Tambunan, MCM, IAI, emphasized the importance of this working meeting as a momentum to formulate strategies for the coming year, to optimally contribute to the development of the alumni organization, the fields of civil engineering and architecture in Indonesia, and the benefits of alumni for active students, lecturers, faculty, and the Indonesian society in general.

“We are very excited to gather together to share experiences and insights and to plan future steps to more actively contribute to national infrastructure development,” said Leonard.

Discussions at the meeting covered various strategic topics, including organizational development strategies, the application of the latest technologies in construction, sustainable development, and the role of alumni in supporting education and professional development for students and future generations.

The joint working meeting concluded with a commitment from all participants to maintain close communication and support programs that advance science and technology in their respective fields.
