The Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti is once again organizing the Summer Course for the third time. This year’s theme is “Culture and Legal Issues,” combining studies of law and culture from a global perspective. The event is attended by lecturers and students from various countries who participate in online lectures before visiting Jakarta and Yogyakarta for hands-on learning experiences.

Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, welcomed this initiative as a step to deepen the understanding of cultural differences and related legal challenges.

“This Summer Course serves as an important platform for participants not only to deepen their legal knowledge but also to understand the cultural context that influences the implementation of laws in different countries,” she said.

Since June 18, 2024, participants including lecturers, students, and high school students from various countries such as Malaysia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, the Philippines, Mozambique, South Korea, and Thailand have been attending a series of online lectures involving instructors from Universitas Trisakti and international speakers. After completing the online lecture sessions, participants visited Universitas Trisakti on June 25, 2024, and then continued their studies in Yogyakarta.

This event is expected to broaden the global perspectives of participants on the complexities of the relationship between law and culture and to enhance cross-cultural cooperation networks among participants from various countries.
