The Specialist Dental Conservation Study Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, held another togetherness event that invited all residents, leaders, staff, and their families to connect with nature in early June 2024. The event, themed “Healthy and Happy Together,” was held outdoors in Sentul, Bogor, West Java.

The event began with a send-off by the Dean of FKG Usakti, Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastoeti, M.Kes., Sp.B.M.M., Ph.D., before the journey to four waterfalls: Curug Lesung, Curug Kembar, Curug Ciburial, and Curug Hordeng.

The journey started with an open pick-up truck ride, covering a distance of about 40 minutes. The terrain was quite challenging, with natural obstacles such as slippery paths, descents, ascents, and river currents to navigate. This challenge provided valuable lessons, resembling the journey of a resident through their study program towards graduation. Every life journey involves various obstacles, and each difficulty must be faced with strong effort and determination. Residents are taught to overcome challenges while enjoying each process. Education is tough, but facing challenges outside without education would be much tougher. The spirit of togetherness and mutual encouragement can lead to success in reaching the finish line as the goal of life’s journey.

This was the hope of Dr. Drg. Meiny Faudah Amin, Sp.KG(K), Head of the PDGS Dental Conservation Program at FKG Usakti, for the “Healthy and Happy Together” event. Fortunately, the event was very enjoyable. Camaraderie was evident among all participants, with no gaps between lecturers, residents, seniors, or juniors. Everyone mingled together to reach the finish line as one.
