In an effort to support students facing the challenges of entering the workforce, the Ministry of Manpower (KEMNAKER) collaborated with the Career Center of Universitas Trisakti (Usakti) to hold a counseling event themed “Tips for Entering the Workforce.” This event took place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Multipurpose Room on the 12th floor of Building M, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti.

Attended by dozens of students from various majors, the counseling aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the necessary steps to prepare for entering the workforce. Focusing on offering practical and strategic insights, participants were encouraged to understand the current job market dynamics and how they can effectively prepare to face them.

Presenting at the event were Iyas Kusnadi (HR Technical Advisor at PT. Freeport Indonesia), Mulyanto, M.Psi Psychologist (Secretary General of the Central HIMPSI), Taufik, S.H, M.Kn (Head of the Labor Placement and Transmigration Division of the Department of Manpower, Transmigration & Energy of DKI Jakarta Province), and representatives from KEMNAKER with extensive experience in employment. They discussed various important topics such as job search preparation, effective interview techniques, ways to enhance skills valued by industries, and strategies for building a strong professional network.

“Preparing to enter the workforce is a crucial step for every student about to graduate. Events like this provide valuable opportunities for all of us to gain the necessary insights and practical tips from industry experts,” said Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Universitas Trisakti, who gave a speech at the event.

In addition to listening to presentations from experts, participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly and discuss various issues they face, receiving specific and targeted advice from the speakers.

“The opportunity to gain direct insights from industry professionals provides us with valuable perspectives and greater confidence in facing the job search process,” added Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc.
