Environmental Seminar at the 22nd Trisakti Environmental Fair

News from FALTL, Universitas Trisakti

Indonesia still relies heavily on non-renewable energy sources, primarily oil and coal. However, over time, fossil fuel supplies will deplete, making renewable energy the best alternative. To reduce fossil fuel usage and create clean, environmentally friendly energy, the Indonesian government must prioritize renewable energy. Therefore, a form of renewable energy is needed to minimize environmental pollution.

Based on this, the Environmental Engineering Student Association (HMJTL) of Universitas Trisakti wants to organize an Environmental Seminar at the 22nd Trisakti Environmental Fair. The Environmental Seminar is an effective way to educate and raise awareness among the general public about the importance of renewable energy. Participants in this event include high school and vocational school students, the Universitas Trisakti Student Community (MM-UT), alumni, and the general public.

The 2024 Environmental Seminar will be held over one day and will include the following activities: a) A presentation on the definition of renewable energy by Febrian Adan Samir, a student of the Environmental Engineering Department at Universitas Trisakti.

b) A presentation on the implementation of renewable energy in Indonesia by Tody Ferdica, ST, an Intermediate Policy Analyst/Sub-Coordinator of Bioenergy Environmental Protection at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

c) A presentation on the types of renewable energy by Maya Lynn, BC, LL.M, MBA, the National Chairperson of the Clean Energy Generation, and Delilah Ivo Swaraswati, the Vice Communication of the Clean Energy Generation.

By organizing the 2024 Environmental Seminar, it is hoped that the public’s awareness and knowledge of the importance of renewable energy will increase.
