Jakarta, May 25, 2024 – Universitas Trisakti welcomed a delegation from higher education institutions in the People’s Republic of China. The Vice-Rector IV of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, warmly greeted the delegation, which consisted of leaders and lecturers from 12 universities in China, at Universitas Trisakti’s Campus A. This visit was organized to foster closer cooperation in the fields of education, research, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

In her welcome speech, Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, expressed hope that this visit would mark the beginning of collaboration between universities of both countries.

“The visit of the delegation from the People’s Republic of China is a historic milestone for Universitas Trisakti. We hope that this visit will be the start of deeper collaboration between our educational institutions and similar institutions in China,” said Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD.

The Chinese delegation also expressed their desire to explore various potential areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of mutually beneficial academic programs. One member of the delegation, Prof. Grant Wu from ICI – TCEC, emphasized the importance of cross-country cooperation in fostering a deeper understanding between the two nations.

“We see Universitas Trisakti as an ideal partner in fostering academic and cultural cooperation. Together, we can create a more diverse and inclusive learning environment for students from both countries,” he said.

This visit also signifies Universitas Trisakti’s commitment to expanding its international network and enhancing the quality of education and research through global collaboration. The visit is expected to pave the way for more mutually beneficial collaborative opportunities between Indonesia and China in higher education.
