Yayasan Trisakti Attends IKA Trisakti General Meeting and Halal Bihalal Event

Yayasan Trisakti, represented by its Secretary, Prof. Muhammad Dimyati, attended the IKA Trisakti General Meeting and Halal Bihalal event held at the Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta on Saturday, May 18, 2024. In his speech, Prof. Muhammad Dimyati provided explanations about the dynamics occurring within the Trisakti Foundation, including the renewal of Deed No. 03 dated February 10, 2023, which is officially registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (SABH) and has a more dominant government element. He also highlighted five key points regarding ongoing court cases involving Yayasan Trisakti. Prof. Muhammad Dimyati mentioned that the foundation recently completed the inventory of Trisakti Foundation’s assets, noting that Universitas Trisakti is situated on state land recorded with the Ministry of Education and Culture. The foundation’s management has the responsibility to protect and preserve these state assets and ensure the better implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.

The Rector and Heads of Educational Units have signed agreements to join and recognize only the SABH-registered management. They have been re-elected according to the new university statutes established at the beginning of 2023. Six new programs that were unable to open for twenty years have now been established. The Tourism College has been upgraded to the Trisakti Institute of Tourism. The educational unit recently received an outstanding award from LLDikti-3 Jakarta. There is a positive trend in student enrollment, with new student numbers at Universitas Trisakti rising from 4,023 in 2022 to 4,146 in 2023. The number of Associate Professors increased from 75 in 2021 to 100 in 2024, and the number of Professors rose from 15 in 2021 to 26 in 2024.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Muhammad Dimyati called for the role and support of IKA Trisakti in several areas, including clarifying misinformation circulating in the community, supporting and facilitating the Tridharma activities of Higher Education and the six educational units under the Trisakti Foundation, aiding new graduates, and backing the management’s efforts to improve the educational units. This appeal was also supported by the Chairman of IKA Trisakti, who is also the Director General of Immigration, Silmy Karim. He emphasized the need for alumni to come together to create a better future.

“It is time for us to design a better future together. Together we create a better future, in line with today’s event theme,” said Silmy, who also previously served as the CEO of PT Krakatau Steel.

Silmy highlighted the importance of maintaining legal sustainability within Trisakti’s educational institutions. He stressed that it is crucial for alumni to preserve harmony and unity to foster a positive environment. IKA Trisakti used this opportunity to urge all alumni to actively clarify misinformation in the community and support various educational programs conducted by Trisakti.

This event is expected to be an important momentum in strengthening the bond among Trisakti alumni and promoting better cooperation in supporting the advancement of education in Indonesia.
