Gas Development Geology and Geophysics Staff, SKK Migas

Rizki Arie Fajar is an alumnus of the Geological Engineering Program, FTKE, Universitas Trisakti, who has now successfully achieved his dream as a geologist by working as Gas Development Geology and Geophysics Staff in the Field Development Technology Division, Planning Field, SKK Migas.

Testimonial:

“The Geology program at Universitas Trisakti has been established since 1980, which means that when I started my education there in 2000, Trisakti’s Geology was already 20 years old. At that time, in terms of technology and methods, it was very different compared to the current conditions. However, the knowledge taught about geological sciences regarding the concept and process of rock formation and how humans can utilize it, both in theory and fieldwork, was very good. This is crucial because it forms the foundation of that knowledge.

Another aspect is that the Geology program and HMTG (Geological Engineering Student Association) are open to all positive external influences such as the presence of scientific organizations (AAPG, IAGI, and others). This is very important because it is where students gain knowledge from fellow students from other campuses and companies. Given the current conditions, Trisakti’s geology students should no longer view the oil and gas industry (hydrocarbons) as the ultimate goal but should see that mining, engineering geology, environmental geology, and geothermal (renewable energy) are the future paths for geologists.

In conclusion, students should not be satisfied with the conditions provided by the university alone; they must dare to explore themselves and be supported by the university by actively participating in scientific organizations (outside the campus) and actively writing because it is a method to sharpen and apply our knowledge.

May the Geology Program of Usakti and GeoSakti students continue to be successful, and may their knowledge be beneficial for Indonesia.”
