On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the School of Economics (STIE) 66 Kendari organized an educational visit to the Universitas Trisakti Library with the aim of deepening academic knowledge and broadening students’ perspectives in various disciplines. More than 30 students from STIE 66 Kendari participated in this visit, accompanied by several supervising lecturers. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with firsthand experience of the facilities and resources available at a leading university library.
The participants were warmly welcomed by Dra. Diana Ganefa Dewayanti, Head of the Universitas Trisakti Library, who provided a brief tour of the library facilities and services accessible to students. They were given a comprehensive understanding of how to search for references, books, journals, and other relevant digital information sources related to their fields of study.
According to Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Aziz Muthalib, SE., MS, Chairman of STIE 66 Kendari, this visit was a valuable opportunity for students to gain a better understanding of the importance of information literacy in supporting their academic success.
“We are very grateful to the Universitas Trisakti Library for their warm welcome and valuable knowledge shared with our students,” he said.
This visit not only benefited the students of STIE 66 Kendari but also strengthened the cooperation between the two higher education institutions. Students are expected to apply the knowledge gained during this visit in their future studies and research.
The event concluded with an interactive question and answer session, where students could exchange opinions and discuss with library staff. The spirit of collaboration and the desire to continue learning were evident throughout the visit.
In summary, this was the report of STIE 66 Kendari’s visit to the Universitas Trisakti Library. Hopefully, this visit will serve as a beneficial first step in the academic journey of the students and further strengthen the relationship between higher education institutions in Indonesia.
