Enthusiasm of Universitas Trisakti Students in Participating in the Socialization of the IISMA 2024 Program

Beginning in 2024, the Office of International Cooperation and Culture (KUIKK) Universitas Trisakti organized a Socialization Program for the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024 under the theme “IISMA 2024: Taking Your Dreams to the Next Level.”

The event took place on Friday, January 12, 2024, with the aim of providing an introduction to various offered pathways, registration procedures, and expanding the participation of Universitas Trisakti students.

In 2024, there was an increase in the quota to 3000, with 200 partner universities in 28 countries for the International Higher Education Institutions. In his address, the Head of the IISMA Program, Dr.Eng. Rachmat Sriwijaya, ST., MT., encouraged the leaders of Universitas Trisakti to encourage student participation so that IISMA participants are more proportionally distributed in 2024.

“The selection pathways that are opened simultaneously for registration, selection, announcement, and departure are the affirmative and regular pathways. The affirmative pathway is intended for students who receive Bidikmisi or KIP-K scholarships, and students in underdeveloped areas based on Presidential Regulations,” he said.

After the announcement of these two pathways, the co-funding pathway will be opened for participants who have not passed the selection in the regular pathway, with limited choices of universities and partial funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture and students.

On the same occasion, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Kadarsah Suryadi DEA., in his address, stated, “This program is very important, especially for our younger generation as the successors of the future generation. With this program, students have the opportunity to discover and explore what is happening in other parts of the country. They can see the academic atmosphere, curriculum, and culture in those places. This program provides benefits in two main aspects: knowledge and understanding of social and cultural issues. Knowledge is gained through academic experience, while understanding social and cultural issues is important because the world today is without boundaries, and future leaders need to have global insights. Through this program, our younger generation can build relationships that will facilitate future networking and cooperation, both academically and in leadership roles in their respective countries.”

The event was also attended by Restu Wicaksono, IISMA Awardee from Trisakti 2022, who went to the University of Twente, Netherlands, and Anila Arya Vyasa, IISMA Awardee from Trisakti 2023, who went to Hanyang University, Korea, with Amalia Zuhra, SH, LL.M., Ph.D., as the moderator and Head of the International Affairs Center at KUIKK Trisakti.
