Scientific publication plays a crucial role for students in higher education institutions, especially in Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology (FTKE) Universitas Trisakti. Without scientific publications, knowledge will not progress, especially given the advanced state of current research. The development and enhancement of knowledge can be achieved through the publication of scientific journals. Therefore, every student must actively engage in scientific publication to contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

The Faculty of Earth Sciences and Energy at Universitas Trisakti organized an event called the “Reputable International Journal Writing Workshop” for two days on December 11-12, 2023, in Building D, 5th floor, Diponogoro room. This workshop aimed to enhance students’ abilities in writing articles for scientific publications, both in accredited national journals and reputable international journals.

Assistant Dean III, Ir. Mulia Ginting, M.T., assisted by the Assistant to the Dean III and Sub-section of Litdimaslum in Section III, hopes that the outcomes of this workshop will improve students’ capabilities in writing scientific articles and foster motivation for continuous scientific publication writing to support the accreditation targets for excellence in programs within the Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology.

The opening and welcome speech for the Writing and Publishing Scientific Journal Workshop was delivered by Deputy Dean I, Dr. Suryo Prakoso, S.T., M.T. This event also featured Dr. Martha Rianna, S.si (Lecturer in the Physics Department at the University of North Sumatra) as the training speaker.

The workshop participants were active students within the Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology Universitas Trisakti, totaling 70 participants.

May this workshop help realize the vision of FTKE, to become a reliable faculty with international standards while still emphasizing local values in developing knowledge, earth sciences, and energy technology to enhance the quality of life and civilization.
